Moringa Moringa Moringa: Moringa Powder Benefits

1/15/2019

Moringa for your daily morning? Easy to remember, right? Not only is it fun to say but it is also called “the miracle tree.” Moringa (Moringa Oleifera) might be the closest thing to an “all-purpose herb” or “the super herb,” if you will. It has been used for centuries in traditional medicine in South Asia for enormous health benefits.

Note: Moringa here refers to moringa leaves only, which is non-toxic and safe for the whole family (not to be confused with the root of the plant, which may contain toxic substances). We use only Moringa Oleifera Leaf Powder that is USDA Certified Organic - no preservatives, no additives, no sugar, non-gmo, vegan, gluten-free.

#1 Moringa Powder Benefit – ESSENTIAL FOR HEALTH

  • Superfood for Everyone: Moringa is particularly beneficial for maintaining a healthy diet with well-balanced nutrition. The list of moringa’s health benefits is simply never-ending. It contains about 20 types of amino acids, 46 natural antioxidants, 36 anti-inflammatory compounds, and more than 90 different types of nutrients. It is an brilliant source of minerals, such as iron, calcium, zinc, and vitamins A, B, B1, B2, B3, B6, C, E, macro minerals, trace minerals, and phytonutrients. It is also a great source of protein and dietary fiber. Thus, the extensive list of nutrients and high potency make it one of the best nutritional supplements.
  • Superfood for Athletes: It can be called the superfood for athletes due to its rich nutrition and protein. Protein is important for those who want to keep their muscles in good shape or bulk up their muscles, which can deteriorate with age. Moringa leaf powder has all 9 essential amino acids, high in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, making it a top source of vegetable protein. To put things into perspective, moringa has 36 times more magnesium than eggs, 9 times more protein than yogurt, 25 times more iron than spinach, 17 times more calcium than milk, 10 times more vitamin A than carrots, and 15 times more potassium than bananas.
  • Health Benefits: It’s claimed that moringa can help treat and/or prevent chronic inflammation, heart disease, some forms of cancer, diabetes, high cholesterol, arthritis, asthma, and high blood pressure. Additionally, others state that moringa can alleviate headaches, constipation, anemia, kidney stones, fluid retention, age-related eye disorders like macular degeneration, and bacterial, fungal, viral and parasitic infections. Moringa has also been linked to improved digestion and mood, immune-boosting effects, and weight loss.
  • How to Use:
    • Use pure 100% organic moringa leaf powder without any preservatives or additives. Try 100% Organic Moringa Capsule, which is only high-quality moringa, nothing else. Each Capsule containing 700 mg, almost double the potency of others in the market.
    • We made it easy to use by using capsules instead. No need to fuss with the mess of scooping a loose powder, or figuring out what dosage is safe. If life gets too busy and need a nutritional boost, just pop a pill. As a sensitive eater, I personally do not like the taste of moringa in certain foods as it can be somewhat overpowering and bitter; so, I prefer capsules.
    • For flavoring or other uses, simply un-do a capsule of 100% Organic Moringa Capsule by twisting it. If you need a green kick in your food, sprinkle it over your food, smoothies, or salad to garnish.

#2 Moringa Powder Benefit – EXCELLENT FOR SKIN

  • Healthy, Glowing Skin: Moringa powder plays an important role in maintaining a healthy skin. Its vast array of nutrients makes it extremely beneficial for your skin. It is rich in vitamins A, C, and E, which have been known to be essential for healthy, radiant, and youthful skin.

  • Anti-Aging - Reverses the Signs of Aging: Super high in antioxidants and anti-aging compounds, moringa can help balance hormones, fight signs of aging, and repair cell damage. Moringa has one of the highest antioxidant compounds with an ORAC value of 157,600. It has much more antioxidants than the antioxidant powerhouse matcha and 50% more than Acai berries. It can help protect the skin from oxidative stress and free radicals. This means that moringa can delay the aging process and counteract the damages to the skin that show up as the signs of aging, such as dry skin, fine lines, and wrinkles.

In addition to antioxidants, Moringa has thousands of more zeatin than any other plant known to man. Cytokinins, such as Kinetin and Zeatin, are natural plant hormones that promote cell division and slow the aging process. These plant hormones have been shown to be effective in improving the appearance of aging skin and reducing damages from sun exposure.

  • Protects the Skin: Moringa has antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal compounds that naturally protect the skin from diverse forms of infections. It has been commonly used to: reduce inflamed skin during acne breakouts, get rid of dandruff, reduce athlete’s foot, eliminate odors, treat abscesses, and fight gum disease. It also can be applied on cuts, wounds, bites, burns, and viral warts. It helps to heal fast without leaving any scars or wound marks.
  • How to Use:
    • For lasting skin benefits: Try Perfect Goddess Skin Organic Skin Supplement, which contains moringa, for age-reversing skin health.
    • For topical relief: If your skin begs for a face mask or to get rid of an acne, twist open one of 100% Organic Moringa Capsule, mix with water or mixture of your choice to apply on your face. We also recommend opening a capsule for a bath, even for your child’s bath.
#3 Moringa Powder Benefit – GREAT BOOST FOR BREASTFEEDING MOTHERS

  • Doubles Milk Supply: Moringa is important for lactating mothers because it is known to dramatically increase breast milk. Moringa is a natural galactagogue, a substance that helps to enhance milk supply. It has been used for centuries to increase milk supply. Evidence from clinical studies prove that moringa increases milk volume by roughly 150%.

  • Energy and Nutritional Support: Moringa, being the most nutrient-dense food, can help provide energy and stronger immune system, which are essential for hard-working mothers. It is also particularly beneficial for pregnant and nursing women who may be suffering from nutritional deficiencies. Moringa may satisfy nearly all of a woman’s daily iron and the extra dosage of calcium requirements of nursing mothers and pregnant mothers. It is also loaded with vitamins K and B, which may help replenish the lost blood during childbirth and postpartum recovery.

    • 100% Organic Moringa Capsule: The recommended dosage of moringa for breastfeeding is approximately 250 mgs, twice a day. However, refrain from overdosage as it may lead to adverse effects, even health complications for your baby.
    • For topical relief: If you suffer from cracked or sore nipples, twist open one of 100% Organic Moringa Capsule, mix with a little bit of water, and apply directly to the affected area.

#4 Moringa Powder Benefit –  WONDERFUL FOR CHILDREN

Even children can also benefit from all the health benefits mentioned above. Moringa offers plenty of health benefits to your child. It is often given to treat malnourished babies in Africa.

  • For Growing Children: Children are constantly in need of nutrients because their bodies are growing. Moringa provides the nutrients that help brain development, build strong muscles and bones, and boost energy. A growing child needs a lot of energy because energy fuels the child’s growth. It’s a smart move to feed your child with moringa during the yearly years because protein and amino acids aid in cell development. Proper nutrition enables your child to gain the necessary weight and height during the growth stage. Moringa can also help treat mood swings, reducing likelihood of depression.

  • Strengthens Immunity: It is known to improve immunity, cure minor infections, and get rid of toxins. If your child frequently suffers from cough, cold or any sort of minor infections, then moringa’s anti-inflammatory properties can help fight off infections. Besides the skin benefits listed above, moringa can help your child to get rid of rashes and irritations. Plus, moringa can actually boost and preserve your child’s eyesight.

  • Safety: Moringa powder is normally considered to be safe. Always make sure that the moringa powder is organic. Since moringa roots can be toxic, make sure to avoid feeding your child with moringa roots or any of its extracts. When giving moringa to your child, it is advised that you go for the moringa powder because it is proven to be at least 10x more nutritious than the fresh leaves.

  • How to Use/Take:
    • 100% Organic Moringa Capsule for Your Child: If your child is old enough and able to swallow a pill, giving moringa in a capsule/pill form would be beneficial and convenient, especially if your child is a picky eater. However, if your child is younger, you can sprinkle the powder in your child’s food or drink. We give moringa to our 3-year old son every morning!
    • For a specific dosage for your child, consult your pediatrician. However, the normal permissible amount is about 6 grams per week. It is recommended that you start with a small amount and gradually add more. For babies 6 months and up, the World Health Organization recommends that 10-15 grams of Moringa leaf powder can be added to every 100g of breast milk or milk formula to boost the nutritional value of the milk. Although it is safe to take, it is best to refrain from overdose as it is possible to lead to adverse effects.
    • For topical relief: You can directly apply moringa powder to your child’s skin, using one of 100% Organic Moringa Capsule. You can sprinkle moringa in your child’s bath to get rid of minor cuts or rashes.

#5 Moringa Powder Benefit – HEALTHY HAIR GROWTH

  • Beautiful Hair: Having healthy body is linked to having healthy hair. Nutritional deficiencies or health issues can hinder hair growth and damage your hair. Moringa has all the essential nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids to help in keratin formation, which is vital for healthy hair, and help prevent hair loss.

  • Healthy Scalp: Moringa contains vitamin A, which encourages hair growth and maintenance, and prevents the thickening of scalp, dry hair and dandruff.  It also has zinc which stimulates hair growth. Vitamins C and E improve scalp circulation, which aids in growing stronger and healthier hair.

  • How to Use/Take:
    • For hair growth benefits: Try 100% Organic Moringa Capsule for long-lasting hair benefits.
    • For topical relief: If your scalp is red, itchy or flaky, twist open one or two of 100% Organic Moringa Capsule, mix with water or mixture of your choice to apply on your scalp.
