Where do you get your herbs?
Our formulas are created from the highest quality Chinese herbs and certified organic herbs. Almost all the herbs we use are certified organic. We strive to sell certified organic herbs that are toxin- and pesticide-free whenever possible. When we buy from manufacturers, we only buy herbs from facilities that have passed the Good Manufacturing Practices standards. These standards require that rigorous testing for heavy metals, bacteria, pesticides, and other contaminants.
How should I take my herbs?
For most herbal supplements, it’s best to take two (2) capsules together once a day 30 minutes before a meal with a full glass of water. For those who are more sensitive, take one (1) capsule twice per day 30 minutes before a meal with a full glass of water.
However, if you forget to take them before a meal, it’s okay to take them after your meal. Please check your bottle for specific instructions as each supplement may be different.
Is it safe to take herbs with prescription medications?
Most herbs may be taken by individuals who also take prescription medications. However, our Online Consultation with a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist is advised to rule out any potential conflicts. Please let us know if you are on any medication so we can best advise you in your case. In most cases, it is recommended that the herbs be taken on an empty stomach at least two hours apart from the prescription drugs. If you are taking prescription medications, it is important that you inform your healthcare practitioner before starting any herbs or supplements.
How long do I need to take my herbs?
The duration varies on a case-by-case basis. Generally, if an acute condition, such as a common cold, is being treated, you can expect to see results after a few doses using the herbs. However, if the condition is more chronic or larger in scope like weight management, hair growth, glucose, or cholesterol, you may need to take the herbs for a longer period before you achieve lasting results. Chinese herbs work to eradicate the underlying problem to restore your body to its optimal health.
what if i forget to take my herbs?
If you forget to take your herbs as directed, take your herbs with or after your meals or as soon as you remember that you forgot it.
The most important thing is to take it daily and consistently without skipping days. Skipping days will make it less likely to achieve the desired results.
